KJ "Kryptonite" Kesler Named #1 Contender

- Hours after JFC 5: Uncharted Territory broke all of the previous JFC records, JFC owner Harry Harrison got on the phone and made the call that after KJ Kesler's main event performance he was to be named the first #1 contender for the JFC Light Heavyweight Title.

JFC 5 saw another first round submission victory for the 22 year old and he has earned the chance to be crowned the very first JFC Light Heavyweight Champion! He can make history, it is all in his hands.

So now the question remains, who will be the other #1 contender to fight for the gold? That problem will be solved later this month when two top tier JFC Light Heavyweights fight for that other spot. In one side of the cage it will be none other than the always exciting Kari "Talkkari" Taalasmaa! His opponent will be Justin Vincible! Two undefeated top fighters will battle it out soon to determine the other contender.

The Light Heavyweight division is becoming to be a true bright point in the JFC. Only time will tell who will be crowned the first ever Champion.
